Creating Star Wars Dioramas models for 3D printing

The concept was to make the diorama with 50x50mm modules that can be 3D printed individually and as many as you want. Using OpenLock system to create several bases that can be connected to create a structure to support the modules.

When I started working on this star wars diorama the goal was to use it to have some ships on it, recreating the star wars chase scene with the X-wing and the tie fighters. I ended up buying those 3d models from Gambody at that time and later decided to make them myself.

Although the star wars diorama was made for 3D models of ships that need to be 3D printed, there's no reason why someone couldn't print it bigger or smaller for some collectable ships and or action figures ships.

To add some more details to the star wars diorama I also a turret that can you can print on its own as a diorama or as part of the death star diorama as it's sized the same scale as the remaining diorama modules - 100x100

Due to the scale of the ships, I ended up creating a large version of the star wars diorama, almost 60cm long, 25cm deep and 25 cm tall but you can make your own version.

I'm also working on another 3d printable star wars diorama based on these modules. A smaller version of the original diorama to be printed in Resin as opposed to 3d print in FDM. The new version will also have X-wing's and Tie Fighters but again resin printed and much smaller scale - The ships are 5cm long! I will hopefully make these new STL files available soon.

Using the Star Wars Death Star turrets from this diorama and the new ships I'm also working on this new 3D printed Diorama. The new star wars dioramas are made to use the same modules and that shows how flexible the original star wars diorama is and how much flexibility 3D printing dioramas can give us.
